And we're off.....
We had a quick ceremonial removing of the diapers from Nathan's "diaper basket" this morning. We replace the diapers with several pairs of underwear and decided to save the diapers for baby brother. We'll be home all week, but I'm excited to see how Nathan does. We have lots of fun activities planned - all things that Nathan enjoys - to make these days at home more enjoyable.
A really helpful reference that I read before starting this process is The Potty Boot Camp. The author of this book (and e-book version) combines several potty training methods into one method. It seems to make sense to me, so we've entered boot camp!
So far this morning, Nathan has visited the potty 4 times (not actually going in the potty) but his underwear has been dry each time. Time to increase the fluids and hope for some learning opportunities (accidents) so that he will learn what his body is doing.
Oh, and he looks sooooo stinkin' cute in his underwear. More updates to come.
