"Registration"
As the children arrived they made license plates using foam sheets and stickers.
Brantley, Kylie & Charissa making their North Carolina license plates.
"Raceway Training"
Brian read the children a bible story and talked about the "race" of the Christian faith.
Each child received their "Driver License" after completing their training. We made a child version of the NC driver license with a picture, their current address, eye color and hair color.
The Race Cars
...The King...Lightning McQueen...The Princess' Chariot...
Each child went through the race track and had to make four pit stops. One of the stops was the "Tire Rotation" where the kids detached and reattached the tires.
Nathan is waiting at the "Tune-Up" pit stop to hammer and drill on the race car.
Elli is also waiting at the "Tune-Up" station. The children each had a race flag that they would wave at the race cars, telling the child to stop at their pit stop.
There were two other pit stops not in the pictures - the "Car Wash" where they would pretend to spray and wipe down the cars and the "Gas Station" where they would pretend to fill up the cars with gas using a hose.
