It's been sooooo hot in Raleigh and we've had a lot of thunderstorms lately, so we decided to venture into the water coloring arena since outdoor water activities, like the pool have not been possible. My attempt to teach Nathan the process of getting the color on the paper was to "Swirl - Tap - Choose a Color - Put on Paper"
So, we swirled the brush in the water
Tapped the brush on the edge of the water cup
Put the brush in one of the colors
And put the brush on the paper
That's a lot of steps for a little one. We just kept chanting..." Swirl, swirl, swirl....Tap, tap, tap....Get a color....Put it on your paper."
He liked the swirling part the best. So, most of the time we got to the "choose a color" step, and then the brush would go right back into the water. So fun and funny!
Random acts of craziness.
This is actually all that this basketball net is good for - being put on your head, because it does not stay on the actual basketball hoop. We've been back and forth with the company about their poor construction of this hoop - maybe one day we'll have a little kids hoop with a net that actually stays on. If not, we've got a really fun indoor crazy toy.
Nathan and I are leaving on a plane to visit Glindy tomorrow. While we're gone, Brian is going to have almost our whole house painted. Our living room, kitchen and master bedroom will finally have color. I'm so excited to come home to a house with color!!!! So, here was our test of this green color for the kitchen. We're NOT going with this color. Sooooo glad we tried it out first.
