Our Monkey Theme...how cute, huh?!
So, the plan was to actually take a trip to the zoo in the morning and then have a pizza dinner with friends in the evening. Our evening plans worked out perfectly. Our morning plans...well, it was suppose to be close to 100F that Saturday, so we decided that the zoo would not be fun! Instead we went to the Durham Museum of Life and Science. We had just as much fun, and they even had an outdoor exhibit of bears, wolves and lemurs! Can't get any better than that. So, we did sweat, but at least we weren't outside the whole time.

Indoors! Ahhh, the A/C!!! We're building some fancy structures and letting Nathan knock them down.
Oh yeah!!! I'm not sure who had more fun here, Nathan or Brian? Give either one of the guys a drum, and they're lost for hours! Not sure who that cute girl is in the picture, but Nathan WAS sharing the drum with her. Looks kind of like they're pushing each other, but that was not the case.
Live bears!!! Oh yeah! This one got right up close to us to take a drink of water from a stream. Then he wandered off to get some more shade.
We started calling these guys monkeys at first so Nathan would understand what type of animal they were since he's familiar with monkeys. Then we called them their proper names, Lemurs, after seeing them at the exhibit. So, later in the evening when we asked him if he saw monkeys at the science center he said, "NO...lemurs!" Smart boy!
