Memorial Day Weekend

We went to Lake Norman in Moorseville, NC with our Community Group family this weekend.  I am thankful for many, many things:
  • A beautiful view each morning from our bay window
  • An opportunity to be with our community group for more than the usual couple of hours on a Wednesday night
  • The conversations that encouraged my faith and caused me to love Jesus more
  • An amazing coffee maker that greeted us each morning with the press of one button (a huge praise since Nathan didn't sleep well at night due to teething)
  • An opportunity to sit and enjoy God in the Word while sitting on the porch next to my husband and my baby upstairs taking a nap
  • Delicious meals prepared by families in rotation
  • Watching each family interact in unique ways and praising God for the differences he has created in us
  • Seeing different people cleaning the kitchen, loading the dishwasher, and putting dishes away all through out the day
  • Meeting together as a church outside on Sunday morning and watching different members use their spiritual gifts
  • A time to pray for three people who will be leaving our group for a time
  • Sun bathing on the pier with the girls and talking about...well...girl stuff!
  • Rest
  • Rest
  • Rest
