Playa del Carmen

Well, we're back from our trip to Playa del Carmen. There were some big challenges in travelling with a baby and being at a resort where there were very few children, but we tried to make the most of it, and not do the impossible. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool together, eating as a family and reading for pleasure by the pool while Nathan took several naps.

Here are some pictures from our trip....

Nathan's first plane ride put him right to sleep on Daddy's shoulder! We had a really nice stewardess on the first flight. She gave Nathan his own wings for his baby scrapbook and even let him fly the plane for a little bit - okay, just joking about the flying the plane thing.

My two favorite boys resting and stretching out after a long ride in the plane. Nathan was craving some moving time. He learned how to pull himself up into a stand while we were here, and the day after we returned home he did a full out crawl for the first time. Hooray for superbaby!

The beach...the water was a beautiful teal color and the beach chairs were perfectly placed in pairs under their own palm tree.

We're tourists, gotta have the picture by the water.

The resort called the RIU Palace.

Nathan and I went walking around the resort around 7am while everyone else seemed to be still asleep. We got some great pictures without any random strangers in the background. Daddy met up with us so we could attend our first buffet breakfast! Yum!

And a little shout out for the winners of the World Series. We watched the last inning on the plane and I had to dress up Nathan in our very cute Boston Red Sox onesie and take a picture for the scrapbook. This was definitely the best picture of him in this outfit out of about 30 pictures - he was not all about taking a photo just for the sake of my scrapbook. Oh well!
